Online Summer School 2012

Course Listing

Open to all Alberta students

High school students can take online courses from the comfort of their own home.We are offering the above courses from July 2 to July 25.

Saturday, July 7 & 14 are school days.

Note: Courses will only be offered if the minimum number of required students enroll.

** CPR is a prerequisite for entry into PE 10. Students must have earned the CPR certificate after July 2011 and before June 29, 2012.

There is no cost to the student for the course, however, a non-refundable $50.00 registration fee is required upon application.

Application deadline is June 27th as seating is limited.

Teachers are available from 12:30pm - 4:30pm Mon - Wed and 08:30am to 12:30pm Thurs -Sat, however, students may submit assignments throughout the day.

REQUIRED HARDWARE
  • High Speed Internet
  • CD-Rom Drive
  • Sound Card with Speakers
  • Microphone
  • Scanner
  • Printer
REQUIRED SOFTWARE
  • Microsoft Office - MUST include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint
  • Browser - Internet Explorer (do not use Google Chrome)
  • Anti-Virus - Norton Anti-Virus or equivalent
  • Math Students require TI83 Graphing calculator or the TI83 Plus
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  • Processor Speed - minimum 500 Mhz
  • RAM Memory minimum 256 MB
  • Hard Disk Size minimum 10 Gb
  • Windows 2000 (Windows XP or Vista strongly recommended)
  • Math Students require TI83 Graphing calculator or the TI83 Plus
